Fire and explosion analysis and investigation and the assessment of all issues arising as a consequence of a fire or explosion remain our core activities. Our work takes us into practically every conceivable environment on land, in the marine, offshore and aviation industries. The investigations we handle range from small incidents involving domestic appliances to major catastrophes at complex industrial and petrochemical installations.
Services
Our team of scientists, engineers, and fire investigators with over 40 years of fire and explosion investigation experience is available to respond promptly to incidents worldwide. Several of our team members are highly qualified academically in combustion and explosion science, and others in physics, chemistry, chemical, electrical and mechanical engineering. More than one discipline may be employed to resolve the issues arising from more complex fire and explosion incidents.
We are experienced in the design and conduct of ad hoc tests on any scale, and in the use of standard tests, to investigate fire behavior and ignition mechanisms. Our own laboratory is equipped to undertake routine fire and explosion tests. We are experienced in the applicability and the use of computer fire modeling using computational fluid dynamic techniques.
At the heart of the organization is our library and information service comprising a unique collection of technical papers, textbooks, reference works, journals and portals to a wide range of databases. This service is provided by several qualified information scientists.
The majority of the team have considerable expert witness experience in both criminal and civil courts in the United States, the United Kingdom and in several other countries. We are often appointed to act as single joint experts.
