John joined Burgoynes in 2005 after retiring from the post of senior collision investigator with Hertfordshire Police. John has been involved in the forensic investigation of road traffic collisions since 1980. From 1989, John was a full-time member of the Collision Investigation Unit of Hertfordshire Police, where he was continuously engaged in the investigation of road traffic collisions.
John has undertaken hundreds of investigations and has been required to attend court to give expert testimony. He is based in the firm’s Stevenage office. His principal areas of work include all aspects of road traffic collision investigation and reconstruction, including the inspection of vehicles and collision scenes; involving all types of vehicles, and pedestrians. Many investigations have required a detailed reconstruction of the events leading to a collision, from the consideration of the laws of physics applied to the physical evidence and vehicle damage.
